Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO)

The 20-day course is designed to provide licensed drivers with enhanced safety and vehicle management skills, specifically related to operating heavy equipment vehicles such as loaders, dozers, graders, and others. This course aims to equip participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical applications of using heavy equipment.

The curriculum covers various aspects of operating heavy equipment vehicles, including safety protocols, vehicle controls and functions, maintenance and inspections, maneuvering techniques, and operating in different environments and conditions. By combining theoretical instruction with practical hands-on training, students will develop the necessary skills and understanding to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.

To be eligible for the course, students must meet certain requirements. They need to be residents of the hamlet where the training is taking place, ensuring that the course benefits the local community. Additionally, students must hold a valid Class 5 driver's license for a minimum of one year before the start of the course.

By completing this course, participants will gain valuable skills that can enhance their employment opportunities in industries that utilize heavy equipment vehicles. They will be equipped to operate heavy machinery in a safe and responsible manner, minimizing risks and maximizing efficiency.
